December 2003
The bridge collapsed November 28, 2003 prior to the start of the ski season following heavy snow and rains. The bridge itself did not delay the opening, but the loss of phone lines and sewer caused by the damage did delay opening the area. |

September 28, 2005
I found out the bridge will be assembled in 3 sections. One section on each end and the middle section after the ends are in place. If you look closely you can see the other end being assembled across the way. |

The other end looks to be close to being completed and waits installation. I hope to be able to catch the crane in action when it hauls these sections into place. |

The plywood is completed on the roof and workers are still hurrying to try and get it completed before opening. |

The bridge is pretty much complete except for the roof. Roofing material sits in the snow waiting for install. Unless something unexpected is added, this should be my last installment of the Alpental bridge. |
