In 1927 events at the Kiwanis site were moved
and/or combined with those at Summit Lodge, 3 miles north.
In 1924 the first Ski Carnival held at Kiwanis drew an estimated crowd
of 1,500. John Holden of Seattle had the longest jump of 83' among the
professional ski jumpers competing.
