First snow of the season: Nov 20

Last snow of the season: April 25
Total for the season: 87"

May 14, 2015

I think it is safe to say we are done with snow this season.  April had about as much snowfall as January which was 'not much'.  April 25th is the last day of snow and for the season I tally'd a whopping 87".  Amazing that I still had a great season, though it was over at White Pass instead of Hyak.

Til this fall.

April 7, 2015

There really was no need for updates since there was virtually no snow through Feb and March. April could end up being the biggest snow month of the season starting off with 10" on April fools day and this coming weekend SL's are dropping again, down to 2000' and snow predicted.
Hope for a better season next time around.

BAD BAD BAD, that is how the season has been.  Alpental closed last Wednesday and the snow melt now looks more like mid May rather then mid Feb.  There really hasn't been anything to report which is why I haven't posted anything here.  A little snow followed by lots of rain, etc.

The Rampart chair was completed then a storm came through and a 200' tree fell onto one of the towers crashing it too the ground.  The Summit is undergoing repairs and already have a new footing poured so it should be completed soon, but there is no snow so there is really no rush.

Another frustrating slow start to the season, but so far Central and West are operating at a limited capacity.  7" of snow fell last Sunday and we have about 1 1/2' of snow at the summit of Snoqualmie Pass.  Lift work continues on Rampart and they have been installing the chairs to the cable for the past week.  Hope we get some good snow storms soon!

Temps are cooling down and a few inches of snow have fallen in the past couple days.  National weather service is predicting 18-30" Saturday so if this is the case, the Summit could get open Monday.

Temperatures are finally dropping again to more normal levels for this time of the year, and a little snow too.  We've received a few inches the past couple days but so far the only ski area open in the state is Mission Ridge due to their extensive snow making capabilities. The Summit is still working on Rampart to get it completed by the time the area is ready to open, which could be awhile since we are behind in snowfall.

After about 10 days of warm weather, on and off rain most of the little bit of snow we have received has melted away. It doesn't appear we will be on the slopes before Christmas unless some crazy winter storm hits so it looks like a late start this season.  The Summit is still plodding along with the Rampart chair and as of today it looks like they are getting ready to pull the haul rope into place.  Lots of food options at the summit of the pass are appearing with the new cafe and brewery nearing completion as well as a new pizza place moving into the store!

December 1, 2014

We've received some snow through the past couple weeks and currently it is cold, temps running in the upper teens to low 20's and about 8" of snow on the ground.   Warm weather is coming our way so it doesn't look like we'll be opening anytime soon.

Finally received our first snowfall at the pass level. Only 1 inch, but its nice to see some white.
